Ms. Johnnie Brooks Booker
Johnnie Brooks Booker '61 is the Hampton University 2009
Outstanding Alumnus-at-Large Award recipient. She earned her B.S. in Sociology
from Hampton in 1961 and her Master of Social Work from the Atlanta University
School of Social Work. Alumna Booker is the Director of Supplier Diversity
at The Coca-Cola Company. She is featured in the June 2009 issue of Black
Enterprise magazine in an article entitled "Supplier Diversity-a
Winning Strategy in Tough Times." Ms. Booker serves on numerous boards
including the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council, Women's Business
Enterprise National Council US Pan-Asian Chamber of Commerce, the Ashley Stewart
Foundation, the National Advisory Board of the Whitney M. Young, Jr. School
of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University, and the Supplier Diversity Council
of the Conference Board. Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Ms. Booker worked for
the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Resolution Trust Company
both located in Washington, D.C.
