Founder's Day
In celebration and commemoration of Hampton University’s Founder, General Samuel Chapman Armstrong, Hampton University’s 117th Annual Founder's Day will take place on Sunday, January 24, 2010. In keeping with tradition, the commemorative laying of the wreath ceremony at the gravesite of General Samuel Chapman Armstrong at the Hampton University Cemetery, followed by a keynote address given during the morning program, and the annual presentation of the President’s Citizenship Award.
